Bank Robbery/Hostage RP

Rules for scenario RP.

B1. General:

  1. Situations that occupy police time require the cancellation of robberies/heists and other major situations.

  2. Police vehicles cannot be stolen to prevent a response to major situations.

  3. Deaths in bank robberies and store robberies do not warrant a new life, especially if you have been revived by a member of staff. You must role play the consequences of engaging in all robberies and major situations.

  4. Police and criminals cannot use EMS to prolong bank robberies or to provide revives.

  5. You cannot exceed the limit of criminals in store robberies/heists (more info below).

  6. You cannot ignore police negotiation attempts.

  7. You must engage with negotiators extensively before resorting to death match.

  8. Police can choose to enter a building if they believe criminals are unwilling to negotiate, if criminals provide unrealistic demands, if the negotiator has exhausted all reasonable forms of negotiation, or if criminals have attempted to harm the life of a hostage.

  9. At least one person must be inside stores/banks to perform a robbery/heist.

  10. You cannot abuse technical features to gain an advantage, for example one-way peeks.

  11. If there is a technical failure, an issue that demands you attention, or a reason that you must pause the bank robbery, the responsibility lies with you to tell police and staff.

  12. Police must appreciate the need to pause bank/store robberies.

  13. You cannot abuse the right to pause bank/store robberies to gain an advantage.

  14. All robberies and major situations require microphones (this applies generally but is most important in major role play scenarios).

  15. Free passage negotiations are limited to 10 seconds for each individual vehicle and hostage. Police can reduce this count depending upon the response from kidnappers. The 10 second count begins after criminals enter the getaway vehicle. The time can be increased to a maximum of 15 seconds per vehicle provided 2 hostages are presented.

  16. If the hostage has been safely secured, police must agree to free passage negations.

  17. You cannot perform an unrealistic getaway. This includes driving a car that is not designed for purpose, driving in an area which may be risky (train tracks), performing unrealistic jumps, etc.

  18. You cannot demand that the police land/move a helicopter.

  19. Bank robberies will be voided if you ask for a staff member, disrupt RP or break character. Record all bank robberies and if a problem occurs, staff can deal with it afterwards.

  20. Gangs can only perform 1 PAC heist per 24h.

  21. People outside robberies cannot influence events that occur inside robberies. This rule excludes snipers, criminal negotiators and getaway drivers. This is to stop power gaming. Use hostages to negotiate free passage.

  22. People who are identified in robberies remain wanted for 24 hours real-world time.

  23. Money gained from robberies must not be stored or laundered for at least 20 minutes (after leaving the bank).

B2. Hostages:

Hostages include all individuals who are not actively performing a robbery, or who have been forced under Fear RP to cooperate with criminals.

  1. You cannot take negotiators hostage.

  2. You cannot pay people to be hostages.

  3. You cannot take EMS hostage.

  4. You cannot lie about the number of hostages to police as different robberies have different hostage limits.

  5. You cannot role play as a hostage to deceive police.

  6. Hostages must be clearly identifiable by clothing (you cannot force hostages to wear the same clothes as you).

  7. Police officers are worth two civilian hostages.

  8. You cannot steal and use police equipment from hostages.

  9. You cannot exceed the limit of hostages.

  10. If a hostage disconnects mid-robbery and is likely to influence negotiations (for example, if the sole hostage disconnects), police must continue to role play the existence of said hostage.

B3. Store robberies:

Store robberies include all robberies that are not performed in banks.

  1. You can have up to 3 people involved in a store robbery (All inside).
